Welcome to a story of how a year 11 Bendigo born girl chased her passion at age 15 when she came home from school one day realising she was wasting her time at school when they relocated to NSW socialising & asked if she could leave school, when her parents told her she couldn't leave school without a qualification Sharah caught a train into Sydney CBD and found herself an apprenticeship that weekend and that is where it all started.....
Harlen_Hair was founded by Sharah with 22 years experience in the hair industry, she has based herself as a freelance hairstylist specialising in bridal, editorial & occasion hair.
Pursuing her apprenticeship in a well sort after salon in Macquarie St, Sydney at the age of 15 she excelled quickly in the world of hair.
Relocating a year later to Melbourne and securing her career in a high end salon saw Sharah take third place in woman’s cutting at HBIA Victoria and First place in the “Team relay” early in her career.
With award winning mentors Sharah’s intense training and exposure to the fashion industry allowed her to be part of the LOreal Hair team 6 years consecutively at L’Oreal Fashion Week Melbourne.
After attending ‘Vidal Sassoon’ in Santa Monica Sharah became head female ‘Senior Stylist’ and conducted training salon apprentices to perfect their skill set, this gave her a new passion. The satisfaction of teaching others ‘HAIR’
So after 11 loyal years on the floor at WIESELMANN salon she decided to dedicate her time to education within the industry.
Sharah’s passion for hair and dressing hair not only shows in her bridal styles and fashion forward creations but also her education role with ‘GHD Australia as Victorian/Tasmania educator. Three years running working along side the worlds most prestigious hair stylists, fashion designers & style mentors, her experience in the industry is impeccable.
After having her first child she decided to enter the world of freelance full-time and start an Instagram which gained traction and sees Sharah fully booked up to 12 months out. Making her dream come true of a work/life balance that lets her also be a present mumma to her young children.
